Title Dreams Despite Setbacks – BSK Fighting for a Strong Season Finish

The BSK 1933 season has been a mixed one so far. Though the team started with high ambitions, early on it became clear that the long-term injuries to Kuksenko (ACL tear) and Chatzipirpiridis (Achilles tendon rupture) – who had combined for 19 goals and 23 assists last season – could not yet be compensated for in terms of squad depth.

Head coach Thomas Schnöll has had to get creative, with three additional key players also sidelined due to various injuries, none of which follow a recognisable pattern. This made squad planning all the more difficult week to week.

Despite these challenges, the club continues to pursue its goals with a solution-oriented mindset, staying committed to giving its best effort every match-day. While results haven’t always matched internal expectations, the team remains focused on closing the season with pride.

“We don’t complain – we work. And we want to end this season with a trophy,” said head coach Schnöll.

The clear goal: winning the SFV Cup Final – as a crowning achievement to a tough campaign. In the league, BSK is also determined to finish strong and secure its place as the second-best Salzburg team in the Regionalliga West.
