Stefan Würnitzer – advisory youth coordinator of BSK 1933

Our project gains reinforcement: BSK 1933 welcomes one of the region’s most influential figures for its youth work with Stefan Würnitzer. Stefan will support the club going forward as advisory youth coordinator.
Stefan’s Background
Over decades, he shaped generations of children and youth as a pedagogue and sports coach – including at Hermann-Wielander Secondary School (later Neue Mittelschule) and the local judo club. Always with great dedication, integrity, and heart.
Many also know Stefan and his family as operators of fitness studios in Bischofshofen and St. Johann. As a visionary, he introduced fitness to Pongau in the 1980s, setting lasting standards for health and movement.
Achievements
As a judo coach, Stefan led several athletes to over ten medals at world and European championships, plus Olympic participation.
He made a special mark in school football: Stefan Würnitzer is the only teacher in the region to reach the national final of the school Bundesliga in football with his student league team. This success highlights his exceptional approach to working with young people.
What Sets Him Apart
Beyond that, he excels at inspiring youth, providing orientation, individual support, and imparting values – far beyond sports.
With his advisory support, BSK 1933 will grow not just sportingly but pedagogically. Projects like movement sessions in Neue Heimat elementary after-school care or anti-bullying prevention show BSK’s sustainable youth promotion already in action – now to be purposefully advanced with Stefan.
Heartfelt welcome to the team, Stefan!
